Wizard's simple strategy I suppose you could use it as a very basic start before mastering basic strategy, but to me, I fail to see the need to learn it. Basic Strategy is not that many situations beyond what this simple strategy teaches.
StudiodeKadent , Nov 21, And soon you'll be wondering why you're not getting the comps you used to get before. Thunder , Nov 21, Liquid Chips , Nov 21, Generic basic strategy There are some basic strategy charts on my website for what I call generic basic strategy. The idea is to learn a single base strategy that applies for the most part to any number of decks.
For multiple decks the loss in EV is very little using generic basic rather than total dependent basic strategy for a specific number of decks. Single deck loss is a little more but still is not that much.

I do allow the dealer to hit as many time as possible, so if by chance he got 8,5,A,A,A,A I would count that as a soft 17, so would stand on that. Taking a sample where the dealer has an 8 and the player a a 9 and 5 totalling And the player stands for the sake of simplicity.
So basically if the dealer busts player wins, otherwise dealer wins. My code gives me possible variations where the dealer Busts, and only where the dealer wins. How are you getting these numbers? If so, then you need to calculate the probability of each variation separately. Apr 10, Threads: April 10th, at 9: I've got the dealer to stand on a soft 17, and am currently only using one deck of cards.
However my figures are coming out wildly different from what I would expect, and from published figure I see. Somehow I'm managing to find lots of extra ways for the dealer to bust. Can anybody suggest why my odds might be so different to the accepted norm?
Jun 1, Threads: April 10th, at Hi, I've done something towards this with 8 decks. Assume dealer stands on soft By my calculation, if the dealer's up card is an 8, then there are possible outcomes Ignoring suits Of those, That ignored that there are 4 times as many tens as any other card After revisiting my workbook The counts above are OK, but don't even touch on the relative probabilities. May 10, Threads: Jun 22, Threads: Hopefully this can help you in tracking down your error.
Here is the distribution I calculate for the dealer using 1 deck and standing on soft Ending Total Probability 17 0. Jun 17, Threads: The easiest way - as it can fit in a spreadsheet - is to list all the possible order of cards the dealer can draw consider there to be "Ten" cards rather than 10, J, Q and K and accept there are 16 in a deck. Also remember to keep different order e. Assume the player has say T 7, work out the probabilities for each combinations, e. Thanks guys using the formula I described above I now get a probability of the dealer going bust of 0.

Hellraiser or Blackjack for sustainiac? I used to have a Synyster Gates sustainiac - I loved the tone but hated the way it looked. I sold it a few years back but I've been dying to get another guitar with this setup. I like the way the blackjack looks, but I wanted to see if anyone has either or can speak to their experience with either guitar. Next are the pickups. The last difference is the fretboard material , with Blackjack having Ebony and Hellraiser having Rosewood.
Aside from those things, they seem to be the exact same guitars as far as I can tell. So, to me, it comes down to if you want an active or passive bridge pickup, as that will be your main tone difference, and which one you think looks better, because other than that it's pretty much a wash. But, again, that's comparing only the base model Blackjack and Hellraisers.
It's a bit more muddled than that To quickly address the other lines of Blackjack and Hellraisers They're all basically the same template as well, just with different bells and whistles.
But if I were to suggest one of those, I would say to take a quick look at the Blackjack SLS line, as it's the one that stands out as the most different to me. Obviously this is personal opinion, but it's one of the most comfortable guitars I've played.
